The artificial river wave in Prague, known as "Vlny Stvanice", is the result of the efforts of volunteers who have dedicated themselves to creating a unique surfing opportunity in the city. Located in a tributary of the Vltava River, the wave only ever works when the hydroelectric power plant upstream allows more water to flow through, thus raising the water level.
